This is where you come in! We are currently running the "Skiraq" initiative, a campaign to collect used ski touring equipment. Your contributions will:
Support Choman Ski Club: The collected equipment will directly benefit the Choman Ski Club, providing access to skiing for locals and spreading the joy of this exhilarating sport.
Empower Children in Kurdish Iraq: The main focus is to benefit children in Kurdish Iraq, offering them the opportunity to learn and experience the thrill of skiing

Annual Ski Festival and Backcountry Race

Experience the excitement of our annual ski festival, held every February. Highlights include:
Backcountry Race on Mount Hassarost: Join skiers of all abilities in a thrilling backcountry race down Mount Hassarost, celebrating the spirit of adventure and competition.
Local Roast: Join the locals with a local roast, where we celebrate the accomplishments of the day and the unity of our community.

Sponsoring Future Athletes
The Club is proud to sponsor teenagers from the Darashakran Run Club and other refugee camps. By busing them in from the Erbil governate, we provide these young individuals with the opportunity to:
Learn Snow Sports: Introduce teenagers to the world of snow sports, fostering a love for outdoor activities and creating memories that last a lifetime.
Participate in Events: These sponsored teenagers actively participate in our ski festival and backcountry race, showcasing their newfound skills and determination.
